Half of them want a revolution, the other half wants a revelation. Back to the woods or back to the good ole Lord. Some folks think there's a second coming, others don't but most come running Back to the woods or back to the good ole Lord. How many times have we been through this, we ain't going to be the last ones through this Life In the woods or life in the good ole Lord. But if the lights go down on the ole town, You bet you that you're gonna want to be around To witness life in the woods or life in the good ole Lord. If we lived on the land would we understand, that man needs man and lend a helping hand To make a life the woods or a life in the good ole Lord. Whether there's heaven after Armageddon, we won't know till the sun comes settin' Down on the woods or down on the good ole Lord. But one thing's certain this world's sure hurtin', and folks can't wait to release their burdens, ‪ Out on‬ the woods or out on the good ole Lord.‬‬‬ Are there folks still willing to stop the killing, and fight for this world where were still living And not fall back on the woods or back on the good ole Lord.

I'm searching for a sound softer than quiet can be Far from the bustle of town often I come here for peace But even a whisper can break the song that dessert makes Lighter than the breath of the breeze that country sings in it's key The call of the country's song melody mixed with mesquite Its been there all along the dust in the brush is its beat Of violence the verses tell the courses of chaparral The call of the country's song now you hear it now it's gone Driving the herd through the Plains sky stretched as far as can see First trying not to drowned in the rain then it's drier than the bones of the beast And half of the men are still green just boys their mothers couldn't keep These hands are as rough as a steed but inside melancholy The call of the country's song melody mixed with mesquite Its been there all along the dust in the brush is its beat Of violence the verses tell the courses of chaparral The call of the country's song now you hear it now it's gone

Back and forwards left and right these are the ways we move through this life and we just can't seem to get up off the ground this old world keeps pulling us down Oh oh let me go oh oh let me go Going to build a balloon fly myself straight to the moon finally be free of this gravity it won't keep it's hold on me Oh oh let me go oh oh let me go Is the pull of death like the pull of earth one direction since our birth if we can fly why should we die It's time that we controlled the time Oh oh let me go oh oh let me go It's time I built a time machine and moved beyond these temporal things find a place where the human race has evolved to accept it's fate Oh oh let me go oh oh let me go How much further do I have to go before the end nobody knows the longer I climb up the line of time the further that I get from mine Oh oh let me go oh oh let me go The more I see the more I believe that nothing escapes this gravity future or past nothing ever lasts it's all a path to the aftermath Oh oh let me go oh oh let me go

There's a place in Two Medicine County Where the locals go at night It's the kind of joint That makes it a point to know your drink to pour it right So come on in and have a beer sit back relax and have no fear Because it's the select pleasure establishment of the year If you stumble on the town of Gros Ventre You better come on down Because people flock just to come and talk To the best proprietor around So come on in and have a beer sit back relax and have no fear Because it's the select pleasure establishment of the year Yes the Medicine Lodge is the select pleasure establishment of the year

Once upon a time Men were on the battleline The children were sent away to play And guess what they did find A doorway to another world discovered by a little girl She went one day and she did stay While the others were left behind And when she did return The others couldn't take their turn So they didn't believe what she had seen And one of them was mean to her Until he stumbled through And came to see it too A world of white that girl was right And it was quite a sight for sure There was a woman Who tempted him with delight But he was surely not a victim Of this devil dressed in white The woman put a curse on him the apple of original sin He was to go and leave the snow And bring the others back there with him So what could he do He brought the others back with him to But he didn't say that he knew the way But by the end of the day they knew The Lord, The Devil and The Boy (2/2) Inspired by The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis They went to see the friendly fawn But he was already long gone He had to leave for helping a daughter Eve And I believe he was even turned to stone That's when they met the creature By the name of Mr. beaver He said that in the end to help their friend They'd have to be true believers For there was a savior The true lord of the land And when he came his roar of thunder Would pass the power onto them That's when the brother took sides And went off to be her spy The others instead went and fled To find the Lord that the brother despised When they met him they were full of awe At the size of the Lions paws He gave them strength and made them think About the brother they'd left behind So they went to rescue that brother Who by now understood his troubles And when they saved him they forgave him Because they know that everyone does stumble But the woman knew of an Ancient power That would have allowed her to take the brother from the others But the Lord he would not cower He walked the sands with the devil And in the end gave his life So that boy and all his troubles Could become a man and set things right When the boys fought the battle The girls witnessed with their eyes Their lord resurrected His love and innocence brought him back to life And the children defeated the evil And grew old as kings in queens But eventually they returned to their home world And they were young again but they knew it was not a dream

The plight of man is to try and understand the things that life brings that we can't comprehend With every cure comes more we're unsure of with every victory a defeat And through our trials we travel miles and miles but its only further from relief Oh the plight of man You can't reap what you don't sow but you can clear it all away That spray's no answer A cancer's still a cancer just another way to lose your way The plight of man is to try and understand the things that life brings that we can't comprehend

Holleran keeps hollering Shine on shine on boy Papa gets a hold of you he's going to scold you So shine on shine on boy Hear your mother crying Lord hope she ain't dying Shine on shine on boy It's all going to be fine just as long as you shine on boy When the world keeps you down keep your feet on the ground Shine on shine on boy There are things you don't know but learning's how you grow So just shine on shine on Don't be afraid it won't lead you astray So shine on shine on boy It's all going to be fine just as long as you shine on boy I know you don't understand what could possess a man To shine on shine on boy But beneath all the pain there are still things to gain So shine on shine on boy No matter what you do just hold onto That shine on shine on boy It's all going to be fine just as long as you shine on boy Holleran keeps hollering Shine on shine on boy Papa gets a hold of you he's going to scold you So shine on shine on boy Hear your mother crying Lord hope she ain't dying Shine on shine on boy It's all going to be fine just as long as you shine on boy
